Data recovery specialists recovered data from swallowed drive

The Case of the Swallowed USB Drive

According to reports, ATM scammer Florin Necula was taken into custody by Secret Service Agents. Necula grabbed the "evidence", a Kingston 4GB flash drive, apparently hoping that stomach acids will destroy all the files on the drive.

The police waited four days for nature to take its course and expel the flash drive. Nature did not and doctors who feared for Necula's safety, removed it surgically from his digestive tract.

The police approached the manaufacturer of the drive to recover the files on it. Data recovery specialists at the company had come across many strange cases of data loss but not a single swallowed drive. Reports now indicate that the data was indeed recovered and Necula is being charged for obstruction of justice.
